This place was excellent. They cater for everything and it was lovely to have a little welcome pack.
The area of Chideock is very walkable and the beach is a leisurely 15 minute walk.
The road is busy but you don't notice it once inside.
We all agree that we will be back.

Lovely place everything you need inside. Loved the log fireplace. Very clean inside and everything that you need inside.
The cottage is right next to the busy A35 road and you can feel the lorries passing by. Im 6ft 2 and kept banging my head on the support beams on the roof so ideally perfect for smaller guests.
Had to put a blanket over the curtains in the bathroom otherwise everyone outside can see you having a shower.
Unfortunately I would not stay there again, only because i was hitting my head all the time but it was a really nice cottage and we enjoyed our stay there.read moreread less

What a cosy welcoming cottage.Great communication with the owner pre stay with easy instructions that we printed out.Easy to access the cottage and inside everything that you would need for a fantastic stay .The woodburner was an added bonus. The road was very busy but couldn't hear the traffic once in the cottage.10 min walk to seatown beach and the anchor pub where we enjoyed a lunch. The friendly George pub was opposite the cottage where we enjoyed a pint but was fully booked for Sunday lunch so went to the clock house where we had a tasty roast.Opposite the cottage was a bus stop where you can visit nearby towns loved Bridport with its outdoor market and shops of course my husband found the wetherspoons!! Would definitely stay in this cottage again but for longer as so many wonderful places to explore nearbyread moreread less

Fantastic few days in this lovely cottage, a real home from home. We were lucky to have perfect autumn weather, great for walks to the beach at Seatown (The Anchor is a wonderful lunch spot) and beyond. Terrific food in the George over the road. Just a short drive to Bridport with its great cafes and shops. The interior is cosy, the kitchen equipped with everything we could need. And great communication from Nicole, too. We loved our stay in Pound Cottage. Despite being on a main road, the location was perfect with a short walk to the beach, dog walks and good pubs! Nicole was a great host and super helpful with fab recommendations. We couldn’t have asked for more for our first family holiday in Dorset.read moreread less

A wonderful stay in a comfortable and homely cottage. The road is a little loud but we quickly got used to it and found this was made up for by the convenience of being able to get to places easily due to being on the main road. Great walk down to the nearest beach with excellent fossil hunting opportunities - take a hammer and chisel, it's addictive!
Highly recommend this cottage for a week long break, we came with 2 children and all had a great time.read moreread less
