We had a lovely 10 day stay in the beautifully furnished cottage; you can tell it’s been furnished with great attention to detail, and we were particularly impressed by the superbly equipped kitchen. The surroundings are ideal for exploring the region, and the proximity to Seatown Beach (a 15-minute walk) is brilliant. We and our two dogs also really enjoyed the lovingly landscaped garden. Dogs are only allowed on the ground floor of the cottage, but as our dogs sleep in an indoor kennel at night, this wasn’t a problem. On arrival, we were greeted with biscuits, tea, coffee and milk, which was a lovely touch.Nicole was a great host, it’s a pity we didn’t get to meet her in person! :)There is road noise, but it wasn’t a problem for us.read moreread less

Beautiful Airbnb with a lovely homey feel - wonderfully clean and incredibly well situated for local pubs/restaurants and quiet country/coastal walks. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with pretty much everything you need and getting in and out of the property was easy. The ceilings were quite low in the main living area - so that’s something to bear in mind (especially is you have a 6ft husband like me). That being said everywhere else the ceiling height was fine and you are mostly sitting in the living area anyway. Nicole kindly gave lots of local recommendations. The Anchor Inn down the road near Seatown beach was incredible - reasonably well priced and excellent food. The pub across the road (the George Inn) was your typical pub grub - ok but not great, although very large portions. We had a lovely stay and wanted for nothing - everything you need has been thought of here. We had a lovely stay - thank you!read moreread less

We had a nice stay at Pound Cottage. The surrounding area is beautiful - we loved Seatown and the coast around Chideock. The cottage itself is lovely - lots of character and well set up. It is right next to an extremely busy and noisy road which meant we couldn’t have the windows open at night and even then, if you were a light sleeper, it was loud. The host was super helpful and it was a good base to explore the area.read moreread less

Had a brilliant time. So much to do in the local area and a lovely little walk to the beach, once u get past the main road. Well equipped. Really helpful hosts who reply straight away. Brilliant pub opposite. Lovely little cottage with original features. A little let down with the garden, Gardener did turn up tbf but didn't do much? 😅 Thank you very much for making it a magical time.read moreread less
