We had a lovely stay in this cosy little cottage. Everything we needed was there and having the wood burner was so lovely, we always miss ours at home when we are away in the winter. The local pubs were very friendly and we had some lovely meals at the Anchor in Seatown. Also some very good walks straight from the cottage…all round a really nice break.read moreread less

Lovely cottage with everything you need and more. Great welcome pack, the host was super responsive and answered all my queries promptly. Only downside is next to a very busy road, we visited in August which probably didn’t help. I’m sure it would be quieter out of peak season.read moreread less

Pound Cottage is a lovely, cosy, beautifully clean little cottage. It was the perfect size for us in the most beautiful part of Dorset. We had wonderful walks on the cliffs and in the woods and fields. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped and everything in the cottage worked perfectly. The ONLY problem we had with the cottage was the location right on the A35. The other reviews mention the road and say it wasn’t an issue. I can see that in the winter or during wet weather that might be the case. We were blessed with a gloriously hot, sunny weekend so had all the windows and doors open all the time. We were therefore exposed to the traffic noise. It was really only a problem at night - Friday night was very noisy. Saturday was much quieter. Other than that we had a lovely stay!read moreread less

We would highly recommend a stay at Pound Cottage. The property is so cosy and a real home from home. The kitchen had a vast array of utensils and equipment. More than enough to even cook a roast if you wanted.Everything was spotlessly clean. There were books, CDs, DVDs and board games available too.I noted other reviews mentioned the road noise and yes you could hear it when the window was open or you were in the garden. However it didnt detract from our stay at all. There is a pub straight across the road which has just reopened. One 5 mins walks up the road and we found a dog friendly walk down to seatown beach which only took 15 minutes. Once down there we found a gorgeous sea front pub.Bridport, West Bay and Lyme Regis are less than 30 mins away. All in all a great place to stay. Thank you.read moreread less
