The accommodation at Pound Cottage is arranged over two floors. Downstairs, the main room is large and open plan, including both dining and sitting areas and furnished for relaxation and comfort. Featuring local art from around the South West and a wood burning stove in a traditional fireplace.
Pound Cottage has comfy sofas and a woodburning stove in the living area, which provides a cosy retreat. Free Wifi combines with a selection of DVDs and a Smart, flat-screen TV for family entertainment as well as a selection of reading material and toys. There is also a downstairs second toilet.
The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, washer / dryer, electric oven / hob, microwave, and free standing fridge freezer. The kitchen also has a seating area and a door to the rear of the property.
The modern combination boiler provides ample heating and hot water on demand and powers the shower in the modern upstairs bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two singles. Each room is well equipped with reading lamps and cupboards as well as a travel cot and black out curtains to help make your stay comfortable and homely. To keep children safe and secure, there are fitted stargates at the top of the stairs.
Pound Cottage has a pretty, garden to the front of the house which is fully enclosed and it is accessible via the two-car parking area. There is also a patio area with tables, chairs and sun umbrella.
Access to the cottage on your day of arrival is via a keypad with a pre-arranged code so there is flexibility on your arrival time after 4pm, a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and fuel for the fire as well as toilet paper, linen and towels will be provided. Please note that in keeping with a character cottage, the living and dining area ceiling is low so may not be ideal for people 6′ or above, and the stairs are fairly steep.
