We loved our stay at Pound Cottage with our two kids and our dog. We walked Golden Cap, eat at the wonderful Anchor Inn and did the sauna on the beach. Eype, Charmouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis are also within easy distance - so much to do in this beautiful area! 2 pubs in Chideock too.
Nicole was a very proactive host and made the stay easy and enjoyable. The Welcome Basket of essentials was a really lovely touch. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. It is by the road and there is some noise but that didn’t bother us. There is a little enclosed cottage garden where the dog could go outside. Recommend and would return.read moreread less

We had a super stay at Pound Cottage. We felt immediately at home. It was spotlessly clean, comfy and homely and had very good facilities. Beds comfy. The small garden was very pretty. There's a lot to do in the area. Lots of walks, as it's so close to the South Coast path. You can walk to Seatown beach, climb up Golden Cap, visit Symondsbury Estate, Bridport, West Bay. Pound cottage is such a delightful place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and had a quirky layout downstairs. It had a wonderful log burning fire, an excellent smart tv and a sweet reading area. The cottage was very homely and pleasantly presented. Very comfortable and warm bedrooms . Garden was very sweet and "cottagey" very pretty cottage. Would stay again.read moreread less

Lovely calm and clean cottage.
No problem for us but worth noting that the rise in the stairs would be high if you had a slight disability, would not stop us going again.read moreread less

Lovely property with enough room for four adults and 2 dogs. Nice and clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. Dog friendly although dogs not allowed upstairs. Also Property is on a main road but didn’t disturb us too much.
Pubs in easy walking distance and lots of lovely walks

Great place in a great location. As previous guests have identified you don't notice the road once inside and you just have to be cautious pulling out.
It's a fabulous property!

We had a wonderful Christmas at Pound Cottage, playing board games, dipping in the sea, and walking on the cliffs. The cottage is beautiful inside, full of character and very well equipped. Yes, it is right on the main road (and there is some noise), and the ceiling is very low in the living room, but this was all clear from the description and in no way spoiled our enjoyment.read moreread less
